The $600million Westfield Shopping Centre in Sydney represents the next generation of retail experiences and is quickly becoming one of Westfield’s global flagships. This massive shopping outlet is situated below the Sydney Tower landmark and is centred in the heart of Sydney’s popular retail precinct.

In order to achieve the architectural specifications, Rondo designed a unique suspended ceiling system using boxed Rondo steel studs as ceiling joists to accommodate the loading of custom made timber panels.

Rondo Technical Sales Representative, Daniel Barmes, specifically designed a clip for this project that would work within the Rondo KEY-LOCK® Ceiling System to support and suspend various shapes of decorative blades on both the food court and level 6 of the Westfield shopping centre.

This challenging, yet rewarding project also required a
significant amount of design advice from Rondo’s Technical
Services team.
